Rania Abohatab

Hey, I’m Rania, a junior at Swarthmore studying Computer Science and Psychology. I have a passion for understanding people and building technology around them. I’m drawn to human-computer interaction, consumer behaviour, and AI.

This semester, I’m in Stockholm as an HCI research assistant at Uppsala University’s Game Design Lab, studying player attention and behaviour to better understand what makes digital experiences compelling. Over the summer I built PalaeoReader, an open-source research platform for comparing competing readings of ancient manuscripts.

I also love painting and sketching. It keeps me connected to the creative, human side of life in an increasingly AI-driven world.
